CHIQUE INTERNATIONAL of Devonshire Road, Bexhill, has recently achieved the prestigious accolade of becoming a VIDAL SASSOON Professional Partner Salon. CHIQUE INTERNATIONAL, which has been the premier Bexhill salon for the last 25 years, signed the deal that will bring the VIDAL SASSOON brand to town. It will be the only SASSOON salon in Sussex, and will draw clients from all over the South of England and beyond. Manager Danielle explains, "It has been a dream to become twinned with THE true hairdressing icon that is VIDAL SASSOON. We have been working on this for two years, and to finally gain national recognition is amazing. The staff here have already been SASSOON trained, but now they will work every month in SASSOON'S ACADEMY LONDON, and with the International SASSOON team backstage at all their National shows. It will now be possible to get a SASSOON cut and colour in Sussex. Amazing!" CHIQUE INTERNATIONAL has already been in the limelight in its own right as it gained the accolade of a FIVE STAR rating by the only independent hairdressing rating agency, The Good Salon Guide. CHIQUE INTERNATIONAL has also hosted numerous shows and seminars nationally and has represented the UK abroad. You can also find the salons work in all leading hairdressing magazines. CHIQUE INTERNATIONAL will now be able to offer the SASSOON colour range which is regarded as unrivalled in the industry. The colour, called CHROMATOLOGY, is a total colour concept. Instead of just applying a tube, as with existing colours, here they will mix a pallet of tones to make a truly individual colour. Every clients colour will be totally exclusive. It really is a distinctive premium service never before available in Sussex. High definition colour, precision cutting and the SASSOON home care range, all works in synergy, day after day. Over the coming months the salon in Devonshire Road will make the transition over, so that the premises can cope with the work load that is associated with the SASSON brand. Martin, salon creative director..., "We need to change the salon infrastructure totally, from systems to staffing. From salon size and deco to euro towels, this is going to be a total challenge. I will have a minimum of two staff out of the salon every week, and that's just the rotas. Even the new website will be twinned with the SASSON International homepage, and that generates thousands of hits daily." All in all, this is going to be absolutely fantastic for the clients in Bexhill, for the profile of hairdressing locally, and for employment in this industry, in this area. CHIQUE INTERNATIONAL will be looking to treble their existing staff of five. As for future trends, CHIQUE INTERNATIONAL will showcase the latest VIDAL SASSOON collection, which is created bi-annually by the SASSOON International Creative Team, locally for the industry in Bexhill, first. In these days of austerity, it is nice to know that in hair design, Bexhill might flourish.



		MARTIN Martin started his career as an architect before swapping to hair design. Having served a short apprenticeship Martin moved into London with the illustrious Graham Webb International, where he cut his teeth on stage on the circuit. Being classically trained with Sassoon Martin decided to leave London for the USA and Miami where he worked for the hairdressing chain Prime Cut. His career went from strength to strength and at the tender age of 21 he returned home to open the first Chique Intl in Bexhill. Martin now regularly works with Sassoon in London and is well renown in all National Hair circuits.
		DANIELLE Designer Danielle is a very talented hair designer who has been promoted well before her years. Danielle started at Chique in 2008 after gaining straight A,s in her Art A levels. She very quickly progressed through her training then career and became Hair Designer at Chique at the age of just 22. Danielle constantly uses the latest Sassoon collections with her clientele, and has a full column of up to date work. Danielle visits the Academy of Sassoon regularly and is well known there as a quality designer well ahead of her years. A joy to work with Danielle is a very popular employee, with both staff and clients.
